Neo-nazis aren’t entitled to anything

Somebody figured this out a while ago.

Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.” – Karl Popper

This is why people need to quit clutching their pearls every time we counter-protest against nazis. If you think that the nazis in Charlottesville were unfairly treated, please examine this further. Obviously, our country is diverse and tolerance is key to our unity. Intolerance is the enemy.

We didn’t lose 405,000 people in World War II, for your right to espouse nazi ideals. We didn’t lose 300,000 Union Soldiers in the Civil War, so you could stand up for the confederacy. Nobody cares if you’ve convinced yourself that they were fighting for something other than slavery. You don’t get to go out and rally for hate against country-mates.

Counter-protesting against racists is NOT the same thing as being a racist. Counter-protesting against racists is NOT the same thing as a white supremacist terror attack. How could any American be okay with watching a terror attack on our soil? They made it pretty plain to Vice:

Clearly, we’ve lost our way in terms of tolerance and what it means. There is no truly unlimited tolerance, just like there could be no truly free market. Rules are necessary. And when we’re at the point where a group has decided to use vehicular homicide as part of their speech, I think it’s pretty damn obvious why we need such rule.

Nazis are always bad.
